MA Teaching
University of Arkansas. I have a focus in Mathematics in Secondary Education.  As part of the requirements for my degree, I interned under a calculus teacher at Don Tyson School of Innovation in Springdale, Arkansas. Additionally I spent a semester in a seventh grade math class at Woodland Middle School in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Aug 2013 - Dec 2017
BS Applied Math
University of Arkansas. Completed an original research idea project to go along with a semester-length research assignment. Completed several additional Computer Science courses, including 3 graduate level courses, to focus in computational algorithms.
Aug 2013 - Dec 2017
AS Computer Science
University of Arkansas. The extra courses I took for my Applied Math degree helped me nearly complete a Computer Science degree. I am only 6 credit hours away from completing a full degree in computer science. My research work revolved around the investigation of the Google erasure algorithm.
The Mathnasium Curriculum
During my time as a Center Director for Mathnasium, I became fluent with the ideas presented in the Mathnasium Curriculum.

This curriculum reflects a specific methodology rooted in the descriptive vocabulary of the lessons to spur mathematical learning through repetitions of similar ideas through different levels of difficulty.

As the center director, I maintained a thorough knowledge of the system and its function. As an educator, I often found myself very interested in the content of the lessons, and can speak to their effectiveness and incredible ability to create self-sufficient students.
NCTM Member
Not only am I a current member of NCTM, but I was able to attend the 2021 Regional Conference, held online. I was able to attend over 5 hours of cutting edge conference material, covering everything from the progression of the Area Model to the effects of early mastery of reading and writing on later mathematics developments.
For math educators who are not involved with NCTM, you should be. NCTM offers an incredible amount of resources in the form of workshops, conferences, curriculums, etc. All available for a reasonable yearly fee for educators nationwide.
